Trust Is The Treasure Of Life

Trust Is The Treasure Of Life

There is a story in forest about two cranes and a turtle. In the forest there was a water scarcity. The cranes decided to move to another forest because there was no hope of finding water in this forest. They said to the turtle, “Come along with us. We will take you.” The turtle gets suspicious. He thought, “What if you leave me half the way”. He asked the cranes how the cranes would carry him. One crane explained, “We will have a stick. I will hold one end with my beak and the other crane will hold the other end. You just put your two feet forward and hang. We will carry you.” Hesitatingly, the turtle agrees. So they start flying. After some distance, the turtle is just hanging and watching around. Suddenly the turtle sees a small pond of water which was actually a mirage. At that time his suspicion goes sky-high. He thought, ”Oh, these guys have some ulterior motives and plans to kill me, because now that there is water, why are they not going there? So instead of them killing me, let me just jump into the water.” So he thinks jumps and dies.

In this story, the cranes are like the Guru/God and the turtle is the suspicious follower. The Guru called you and said, “Come, I will take care of you.” This is because the Guru wants to see you well settled, comfortable and happy. God said if you see Me, I will see you. If you doubt and if you get attracted to the seeming solutions which are not the real solution; the petty things or the smaller pleasures of life- you are going to meet your waterloo. You must trust the Guru without suspicion. You should not think why God is taking me through all these travails when there is an easier route available. It is really not travail. It is the path to take you to a perfect World. That is the purpose of the Guru. Whenever you are with the Guru, whatever comes your way, do not get suspicious and do not question the motives of the Guru. The ultimate aim of the Guru is to take you and put you in a happy position. If you surrender yourself to me, I will take full care of you. Come with full trust and God will not fail you.
