14 May May 14: Birth Day of Her Divine Grace
May 14th is the birth anniversary of Her Divine Grace Sri Jayanthi Kumaraswami. On this auspicious day, Her Holiness is in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, as part of Her internal India tour for the year 2016. Devotees were blessed to have Swamiji’s darshan at the banks of the Kshipra (or Shipra) River- mere days before the world popular Simhasta Kumbh Mela. Sri Swamiji took the holy dip as devotees looked on with heartwarming devotion. Guru Pada Pooja on the lotus feet of Swamiji was conducted on the holy steps at the bank of the river before Swamiji left the venue.
Since Swamiji’s announcement of Her mission to bring enlightenment and relief to the less fortunate people, Her birthday is marked in other countries as an annual day to perform seva or spiritual selfless service where special charity is done in Her Divine Name.
“Birth and death, each comes one time. So be happy throughout your lifetime,” is Swamiji’s advice to Her devotees today.
